Me

I’m Jocelyn Gordon. My journey has been one of continuous personal exploration and adventure. I trained as a high school teacher and worked in Canada and New Zealand. What I loved about teaching was mentoring young people and being part of their discovery of themselves and the world around them. I didn’t enjoy the constraints of the public education system and knew that staying in that career until retirement wasn’t for me. I left all the security of that job behind and entered the field of Conflict Resolution and Mediation. I completed a Master Degree at LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Helping people navigate their way through conflicts to find tailored results that work for them is a deeply satisfying process and something that has a strong connection to solution focussed coaching.

I spent some years devoted to my young family, and although I was fortunate to be at home with them, I also came to a point where I knew my ambition and interests needed to be fed. The stability of my family and raising my two children has always been a priority for me.

A few years ago, I followed my curiosity about coaching and tried a few courses. It’s something I had been interested in for years but had never taken the time to consider seriously. Turns out, it is a natural extension education, professional background and my passion for being an agent in the positive transformation of others. I completed the training in Social Focussed Coaching with Erikson Coaching International and am now an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaches Federation.
